VoIP Service Acknowledgment
BY SIGNING BELOW, if you have selected VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service, you acknowledge and understand that VoIP service differs in several important ways from traditional landline telephone service. You agree to inform all household members, guests, and any other individuals present at the physical location where you use the service about these differences and limitations.
These differences include, but are not limited to:
911 emergency service may not function during a power outage, internet disruption, or if your internet service is terminated.
When dialing 911, your call will be routed to the appropriate Enhanced 911 emergency center, and your call will report the physical address you provided at the time of service activation—not necessarily your current location.
It is your responsibility to ensure that this information is understood by anyone who may rely on the VoIP service in an emergency.
